The Restllesen exhibition is an invitation to an unusual dinner, where instead of dishes, ideas and images are served. The works presented at the exhibition were created by students of the University of Arts Linz and are inspired by the tradition of the dinner table as a space for communication and the exchange of ideas. The exhibition invites viewers to see the dinner not as a meal, but as a cultural event that has brought people together from ancient times to the present day.
Each work in the exhibition was created as part of the Artist's Book course, where the book is considered a self-sufficient artistic form. In the process of creating their projects, the participants explored ways to express the theme of the dinner table through the structure, image, and concept of the book, transforming the familiar format into a tool for visual expression.
