Manuela Naveau (PhD) is an artist, researcher, and curator, formerly working for Ars Electronica where she developed the department Ars Electronica Export and which she headed operationally for almost 18 years. Naveau teaches at the University of Art in Linz and has held lectureships at the Paris Lodron University in Salzburg and at the Danube University Krems. Her book "Crowd and Art - Art and Participation on the Internet" was published in 2017 by transcript Verlag, Germany. The book is based on her dissertation, for which she received the Award of Excellence from the Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy in 2016. Since 2020 Manuela Naveau is professor for Critical Data at the Interface Culture department.
