Baukultur invites you to a guest lecture by Jan Kampshoff / modulorbeat.
Jan Kampshoff will talk about projects from teaching and practice that explore dynamic social and spatial configurations. His focus is on architecture as a changeable playing field for negotiation processes - at the interface of city, landscape and society.
Jan Kampshoff studied architecture in Münster and founded the modulorbeat studio during his studies, which he runs together with Marc Günnewig. The studio is known for temporary projects at the interface of architecture, art and urbanism. Special attention is paid to the transformation of urban spaces as a medium of communication. Their work has been nominated for the Mies van der Rohe Award and awarded the Bauwelt Prize, among others. He has taught at universities in Wuppertal, Auckland, Innsbruck, Kassel and Berlin. Since October 2024, he has been a substitute professor at the Peter Behrens School of Arts in Düsseldorf.
