Co.Lab Remembrance work - aesthetic-political practices

"I no longer had any dreams" © Shari Keplinger

In this research lab, new forms of remembrance, changes in the culture of remembrance through digitalization, artistic confrontations and wild forms of remembrance will be examined, but above all, future possibilities of remembrance will be discussed and speculated on. The understanding of remembrance culture, which has so far focused primarily on the crimes of National Socialism, will be expanded to include places, practices, resistance, victims, perpetrators of right-wing and racist violence, (difficult) figures and places of remembrance in the post-war period, other genocides in the modern era and violence against women* and LGBTIQ. This also means taking a closer look at the intersectionalization of cultures of remembrance, understanding it theoretically and analytically and discussing it in the context of gender, xxx_abilitiy and postcolonial studies.
