The Department Sculptural Conceptions / Ceramics invites you to a guest lecture by Genoveva Rückert.
Genoveva Rückert is an art historian and curator for contemporary art at OÖ Landes-Kultur GmbH since 2020 and is responsible for the Artist in Residence program OÖ AIR, among other things.
Before that, she was curator at the predecessor institution OK Centrum für Gegenwartskunst since 2003 and headed the department for development and mediation at the OÖ Kulturquartier since 2011.
Since 2005 she has been a lector for spatial theory at the University of Arts Linz. She has curated numerous solo exhibitions by Lida Abdul, Herbert W. Franke, Ryan Gander, Glenda León, Christina Lucas, Roman Signer, but also international exhibitions, including the winners of the Prix Ars Electronica from 2003-2021, among them media art pioneers such as Roy Ascott, Lynn Hershman Leeson, Jeffrey Shaw, or as co-curator the public formats Tiefenrausch in the bunker system of Linz, Höhenrausch on the rooftops around the OK, and Sinnesrausch. Main fields of work: space-related art and theory, media art, spatial installation, public art and art in extended institutional space, and with the Academy of Ceramics Gmunden also ceramics in visual art.
