DESIGN DNA _ Shaping identity of products and brands

Tesla, Coca-Cola, Apple, BMW, Burberry, Google, Sonos, Leica, and Rolex are renowned for two significant attributes: their exceptional economic success and their distinctive approach to product design, known as 'Design DNA'. This term refers to the unique style and characteristics that make a brand's products stand out. While Design DNA is not the only reason for their success, it plays a crucial role in making their products recognizable, enhancing the user experience, and streamlining the product development process.
During his presentation, Iwan will share insights from his 12 years of experience in the field of Design DNA. He will discuss how this concept helps shape the identity of products and brands, using practical examples, a structured approach, and personal anecdotes to illustrate the impact of Design DNA on various companies.

Iwan Hänggi, the Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Notation, has extensive experience in this field. Notation is a strategic design agency that collaborates with major global corporations and high-end brands. Prior to founding Notation, Iwan spent eight years at Sennheiser, a renowned audio company, where he led the design team and focused on integrating Design DNA into their products.
