T.R.A.M. - open call/train cover project
In 2018 we can use the train by ÖBB as a cultural space on its way from Vienna to Bratislava and back. We are searching for the author who recreates the exterior of the train . If you are interested to create a design of the train, send us your ideas digitally – the visualization in form of sketch, montage etc. (in format .pdf or .jpg).
The draft should correspond with the whole idea of the project T.R.A.M. The winning concept will be chosen by the international commission. The winner (individual or team) will be asked to make the final materials for the realization which will be managed by ÖBB.The exterior of the train can work as a space for visual art and design. This cultural transport link will differ from other ordinary ones. Subsequently the passengers will be prepared for the artistic experience which will be hidden inside the train.
The set of five carriages and the locomotive will run between the main railway station Wien Hauptbahnhof and Bratislava Central Railway Station. The railway line runs 11 times a day passing different towns and villages in Austria and Slovakia so it can attract not only hundreds of passengers but also many local citizens.
The visualization in form of sketch, montage etc. (in format .pdf or .jpg). The first three best designs, will be financially valued at 300 eur(1st place),
200 eur (2nd place) and 100 eur (3th place). The draft should correspond with the whole idea of the project T.R.A.M. The winning concept will be chosen by the international commission.
