PhD candidate and Research Collective member Caroline Salfinger convinced the jury with her submission – her artistic and cultural research now finds space in the studio house of the Kulturring Egon Hofmann
The Egon Hofmann House was built in 1957 on the initiative of art enthusiasts and companies around the Linz painter and industrialist Egon Hofmann in order to offer artists in the region a good place to work. With the support of its members and with the help of the city and province, the private association succeeded in building a studio building in the “Dörfl” on Römerberg. The nine workspaces have been used by artists from various disciplines ever since and continue to be used to this day.
