"Digital Narcissus" by Joann Lee
Digital Narcissus is an interactive installation exploring AI-driven emotion recognition and self-perception. Using Facial Emotion Recognition (FER), participants' expressions are translated into fluid visuals projected onto a circular table. Inspired by the myth of Narcissus, the work reflects on how AI simulates emotions, prompting viewers to question whether algorithmic analysis can truly understand human feelings or merely mimic them.
PSY 000 T3 by Sofia Talanti
Aspeculative alternative future reality using biological dysfunction to resist AI-driven acceleration. It critiques algorithmic systems that survey, classify and control, proposing the cyborg not as enhanced, but as metabolically fragile-an embodiment of slowness and refusal against extractive, capitalistic and technocratic infrastructures. A figure that will be modeling a future where slowing down can lead to the regeneration of human and non-human systems.
