Holiday care in Upper Austria

Especially during the holidays, when schools and many facilities are closed, parents and guardians lack childcare options for their children. In the following collection of links you will find some holiday programmes in Linz and Upper Austria.

•  KinderJugendKreativUni University of Arts Linz : Sommerprogramm 2025
   Workshops in cooperation with the Upper Austrian Children's University in July.
   

• KinderUni OÖ:
  KinderUni OÖ takes place in summer at Almtal, Ennstal, Hagenberg, Linz, Steyr and Wels and online at WEBLAB during the autumn holidays. All KinderUni OÖ workshops, courses and excursions are organised in close collaboration with universities, universities of applied sciences and cooperation partners from research, industry, business, the arts, culture and NGOs.

  KinderUni Linz: Nine universities and colleges as well as over 40 other research and educational institutions provide more than 200 KinderUni workshops for pure learning pleasure.
  
  SCIENCE HOLIDAYS: SCIENCE HOLIDAYS: One-week summer holiday programme with all-day supervision in Almtal, Steyr (9 am to 4 pm) and Linz (8 am to 3 pm) for children and young people aged 8 to 12. The programme is published in April/May.

  The Linzer Kinderfreunde offers various activities for families, businesses and housing associations during the holiday season.

• Holiday care for children with disabilities:: www.caritas-ooe.at
  The Caritas summer∙weeks offer interesting summer activities for children, young people and adults with disabilities.

•  City of Linz: Aktiv-Tage
  Workshops, courses and excursion weeks for 6-15 year olds.

   

• Hilfswerk: www.hilfswerk.at
  With summer kindergarten, summer after-school care and many other flexible offers, Hilfswerk Oberösterreich provides attractive childcare especially for the holiday season.

   

• JKU Sience Holidays
  All-day and week-long childcare under the motto ‘Holidays in the world of science’. (workshops, seminars and excursions) for kids and young people aged between 6 and 14.

   

•  KuddelMuddel - Kinderkulturzentrum Linz: Sommerwerkstätten
  Various one-week workshops half-day and sometimes full-day on theatre, movement, dance, art and much more. Optionally with lunch and supervision 1 hour longer.

   

• OÖ Familienbund: Ferienprogramme
  Events and programmes of the Family Federation in Upper Austria summarised in the holiday events calendar on the website.

   

• Grünschnabel Linz: Ferienwochen
  One-week holiday camps where the focus is on nature for children and young people aged between 8 and 14.
