E-learning

Since the mid-1990s, the University of Arts Linz has been working intensively on the use of new media in teaching, particularly in the area of digital media training.
The following two e-learning platforms are currently in operation:

Moodle

www.moodle.ufg.at
Contact: Simon Bauer, moodle@kunstuni-linz.at
Moodle is a widely used open source e-learning platform in Austria, which is used at many universities and universities of applied sciences, but also in secondary education.
This platform is used for the media-supported management of courses and has been in operation since the winter semester 2007/08.

DMA - Digital Media for Artists

www.dma.ufg.ac.at
DMA is the publicly accessible e-learning platform for digital media training at the University of Arts Linz. With this system, interested parties can independently acquire the entire workflow for typical production processes in digital media with the necessary background knowledge individually and according to their needs.
The development of this platform was initiated by the University of Arts Linz, financed by the bm:bwk and realized in cooperation with the FH Upper Austria, CBL course from 2002 to 2004. The platform has been online since 2004. The new release DMA 2.0 was published in June 2008. In 2011, the platform was converted into an archive, although the basic modules remain largely valid. Since 2023, new OER material(open educational resources) has been offered and existing material has been prepared in an OER-compliant manner.
