for children aged 5 and above (accompanied by an adult)
University Library and KuKi Kiste – Childcare at the University of Art and Design Linz cordially invite young researchers aged 5 and up (accompanied by an adult) to the next picture book reading in the Children's Library of the University of Art and Design during the “Long Night of Research” (Lange Nacht der Forschung).
Children are welcome to browse and read aloud, and there will also be a craft and research station. During the reading, we will ask ourselves why the moon shines at night.
You can find more information about the children's library here >>>
At this spring's picture book readings at the Art University library, we will be focusing on child-friendly exploration of the moon. In two short readings, we will be addressing the question ‘Why does the moon shine at night?’ We will be looking at this topic from the perspective of a non-fiction book, as well as approaching it in a narrative and imaginative way. Between the two readings and afterwards, the children will be able to get involved themselves at a craft and research station. There will also be a small book table on the topic. These and all other children's books can of course be borrowed (an art university card or university library customer card is required).
