November 11, 2025, 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. JKU House of Schools, Altenberger Straße 69, 4040 Linz
The Forum Baukultur invites you to the next Baukultur network meeting.
Architectural competitions guarantee independent expertise, innovation and high-quality solutions for various building tasks. The implementation of competitions in planning processes is therefore one of the most important instruments for promoting good Baukultur. Architectural competitions offer the opportunity to choose from a wide range of designs. The prerequisite for this is a clearly defined brief. The various entries are assessed by a qualified jury and the best solution is then implemented. Sounds simple, but it is not always.
As part of the 4th network meeting, selected competition procedures will be examined in more detail in moderated table discussions using specific examples. The focus will be on the different types of procedures, the strategies for action and the results. The aim of the discussions is to open up perspectives and expand the scope for action.
Experts and decision-makers from administration and politics, architecture and spatial planning as well as research and education will take part.
