Feel.Back.Loop is an interactive robotic tail exploring the co-evolution of humans and intelligent systems through embodied AI. Through affective computing and reinforcement learning — using human facial expressions as a real-time reward signal to continuously train the system — the work develops an evolving movement language to communicate emotionally through motion. Over time, a shared vocabulary emerges between human affect and machine behavior, shaped by each encounter. The work reflects on human-AI interaction, questioning how forming a bond with an intelligent system may reshape our emotional norms, sense of connection, social expectations, and cultural understanding of empathy and care.
