This aptitude test is geared towards providing an overview of the following talents of candidates:
Basic work materials, such as paper, access to a PC and printer, are provided. Candidates are requested to bring their preferred devices for developing models or photomontages – including cardboard, scissors, glue, adhesive tape or cameras (for stills and videos) – along for the test.
A multi-person jury (board of examiners) then evaluates the results and impressions and decides whether the candidate is suited for the curriculum. Prospective students learn directly after the final interview whether they have been accepted and may begin their studies in the next winter semester.
The admission examination takes place at the premises of space&designstrategies. Candidates may register for one of the two available examination dates. The admission examinations are normally conducted in the first week of July and the last week of February.
Prospective students must submit a portfolio of their own work, such as drawings, designs, texts, photos, digital works, and/or models, by the application deadline for the entrance examination in the Spatial & Design Strategies program. This portfolio can be submitted by mail or emailed as a PDF to strategies.office@lists.ufg.at. The portfolio should demonstrate whether the candidate possesses the necessary skills and interest in creative thinking and practice.
