University Assistant
Carolyn Amann has been working as a university assistant at the Department of Cultural Studies since March 2025 and is a member of the Research Collective. In her artistic-scientific PhD project "Superhuman. From Well-Being to Being-Good" she deals with the mode of action of affect-sensitive media and emotion recognition systems in the context of a techno-ecology.
Short biography
Carolyn Amann studied theater, film and media studies at the University of Vienna and worked as an assistant director at the Schauspielhaus Graz, the Schauspielhaus Wien, the Wiener Festwochen and the Bregenz Festival. Since 2014, she has written stage works for spoken theater and opera, which have premiered at the Landestheater Linz, Theater Münster and the Lucerne Theater, among others. In her performances, she combines lyrical and dramatic texts with jazz and new music.
