Insa Härtel, Prof. Dr. phil. habil., is a cultural scientist and Permanent Senior Research Fellow at the University of Arts Linz. She works as a child and adolescent psychotherapist in private practice in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein. From 2012, she was Professor of Cultural Studies with a focus on cultural theory and psychoanalysis at the International Psychoanalytic University Berlin (IPU) for ten years and previously worked for a long time at the University of Bremen (short CV).
Her current work in cultural studies focuses on psychoanalytic cultural research and sexuality research. She has, for example, researchedTV message programs or onimages/discourses of childish-adolescent sexuality (DFG project). She has habilitated on:Rewriting symbolic orders.
