At the heart of the course is an in-depth understanding of space in its various scales and qualities. The starting point for the design lies in the examination of one's own experience of space.
A detailed analysis of the conditions of the location, coupled with the students' own spatial experiences, form the basis for the design process. Appropriate construction, an awareness of the effect of materiality and precise handling of the available means characterize the design.
The vitality of the design manifests itself in the context of life. In order to achieve this, the greatest possible precision and knowledge of one's own actions and the available means is necessary. The openness of the experience and the precision of the means belong together.
