Masterstudierender der Visuellen Kommunikation Ivan Sukhov wurde für seine  Bachelorarbeit „Over Flexible Systems” ausgezeichnet.

„Over Flexible Systems”

A generative Term Generator translates flexibility into visual logic: type is stretched or compressed, while parameters such as grid, pattern, and color remain variable. The content is selectable prefixes such as un-, in-, and dis- combined with terms like Capitalism, Identity, Trust etc. and the suffix “flexible” - raises the meaning of the word FLEXIBLE. Since the 15th century, the word “flexible” has referred to a material’s ability to bend without breaking and then return to its original shape. This raised the following questions: Why is the term “flexibility” used so often nowadays? To what extent can systems or identities be changed and where are the limits? Is maximum flexibility beneficial or burdensome? The animations were exported and printed as a flip book.
