In their joint artist talk, Marta Beauchamp and Fanni Futterknecht explore the intersections of play, performance and the ephemerality of artistic processes.
Their practice moves between artistic research and artistic production, raising questions about performance, time and the social significance of play.
For Marta, play is a creative production method – she actively plays and stages play as a performative art form. Fanni rather observes and analyses the play behaviour of others from a more social science perspective. In dialogue, they open up new perspectives on the interplay between art, play and society.
