Marie Hindinger (BA Graphic Design and Photography) and Jeremy Traun (Visual Communication) took part in the 100 Best Posters competition and won an award.
The "100 Best Posters of the Year" competition, which was launched in the GDR in the mid-1960s, has been continued by the Association of Graphic Designers (VGD) in unified Germany since 1991 and has been organized by the 100 Best Posters e. V. for the German-speaking countries of Germany, Austria and Switzerland since 2001. The aim of the competition is to select the 100 best posters from all submissions and present them on an equal footing - without ranking or prizes - in several exhibitions and a yearbook.
The 100 Best Posters association aims to maintain the poster as a strong visual medium and ensure that poster design continues to develop. The participating poster designers, clients and printers are united by their interest in well-designed, communicatively relevant posters. The members come from all three countries participating in the competition. They elect the board, which recruits renowned graphic designers and poster theorists to participate in the annually changing jury.
