"Prick up your ears, go listen": that is the motto in the work of sound artist Peter Androsch. A conversation about the ecology of sound and the acoustic failure in Austria.

A humane design of the acoustic environment: this is the central concern of the "Hörstadt" project, founded in 2006 as part of the music department of the European Capital of Culture Linz 2009, headed by Peter Androsch. The Linz native is also active as a musician, composer and "sound writer" (phonograph), and repeatedly expresses his criticism of the current conditions in the country.

Peter Androsch is also head of the Co.Lab Acoustic Ecology at the University of Arts Linz, which he developed and designed together with Gitti Vasicek.
