Vernissage: May 8, 2025, 6.30 pm; exhibition until June 30, 2025 ifk, Reichsratsstraße 17, 1010 Vienna
Daniela Trinkl's artistic practice explores the changing relationship between humans, technology and the environment. In a hybrid space between the artificial and the organic, she creates works that address the fragile balance between human control and loss of control, between order and decay. The exhibition unfolds in several media and on several levels, in which reality and staging intertwine and make the break between man and nature tangible. This raises questions about interventions in nature, about failure and the finite nature of mankind. This creates a field of tension in which the familiar becomes alienated and the relationship between man and his environment is renegotiated.
Daniela Trinkl studied Art History at the University of Vienna (2016, BA) and Sculptural Concepts at the University of Art and Design Linz (2023, MA). In 2024 Trinkl was awarded the prize for fine arts by the Diözesankunstverein Linz. Numerous exhibitions in Austria and abroad, artist residencies as well as work and travel grants.
