HELLO EARTH

Exhibition April 20 to 24, 2026 University of Arts Linz, Hauptplatz 8, Lecture Hall E

Vernissage & Finissage: April 24, 2026, 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
as part of the Long Night of Research.

An evolving exhibition as part of the discourse event Let's talk about... Regeneration and Repair of the Department of Art and Design.

Monday morning, Lecture Hall E: people, chairs, materials, presentations, input. Three days’ time. Sculptures are the task. The material: biodegradable, zero footprint. We squeeze and roll, we tie and paste, hoping everything holds together. Clay meets jute, clay meets branches. Spit and ketchup become glue. Beetroot: amazing colors. Friday evening, Lecture Hall E: an exhibition. An engagement with space, form, and transience. Setting up and collapsing, idea and gravity. The result ends up in the compost. Now.

The exhibition HALLO ERDE is not a finished outcome, but an open process. It sees itself as a laboratory in which students experiment and engage with regenerative cycles. The focus is not on completed works, but on concrete actions. The space becomes an open field where tools, colors, and materials are not used neutrally, but are collectively questioned and tested—as conditions for new forms of being together. The exhibition space is an invitation to think along, to rework, repair, leave things as they are, and to reuse or repurpose them. Re-generation is understood as both an attitude and a method—as a mindful approach to material, time, and responsibility. In the end, nothing is lost: materials flow back into the cycle, become compost, and form the basis for new living processes beyond the art university.
