Every few weeks, billboards are pasted over, and what has been advertised as current quickly disappears under layers of new advertisements. Christoph Bisenberger uses these layers for his artistic production: “I cut a fragment out of a billboard, from the first layer to the base plate. Then I use water to separate the individual layers from one another. Brought into book form, they are a play of abstract shapes and colors. An invitation to slowness and poetry.”
Christoph Bisenberger’s work spans a wide range of forms of expression: from comics and zines, through photography and animation, to installation-based and performative narratives.
