Gebhard Sengmüller
Gebhard Sengmüller is an artist working in the field of media technology. Based in Vienna, Austria, he has been developing projects and installations since 1992 that focus on the deep background of electronic media, retroactively altering the timeline of media history, dissecting and recombining media technologies, and constructing self-generating systems and networks. His work has been widely exhibited in Europe, the Americas, and Asia at venues such as Ars Electronica in Linz, the Venice Biennale, the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London, Postmasters Gallery in New York City, the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago, the Microwave Festival in Hong Kong, and the InterCommunication Center in Tokyo.
