This PhD project proposal delves into the intersection of media art, system theory and computer simulation, particularly in the realm of visualizing systemic behavior through interactive simulations. It challenges simplified views of complex systems, advocating for a deeper, more holistic under-standing rooted in systemic thinking with a special focus on biological systems and human system interaction. Through systematic experimentation, the project aims to provoke critical reflection and offer immersive experiences of visually simulated system behavior and life-like phenomena. The research project also explores the artistic process involved in crafting interactive systems, underscoring the transformative potential of computer visualization in grappling with complex concepts. Ultimately, this endeavor seeks to find ways to invite audiences to explore the interconnectedness of our environment in profound and thought-provoking ways.
