March 6 to September 13, 2026 In the OÖ Kulturquartier, OK Platz 1, 4020 Linz
Peter Fellner, Master student Fashion & Technology, exhibits at OK Linz. The opening will take place on Friday, March 6, 2026 at 18:00.
In GLUMPERT, Austrian designer Peter Fellner combines sustainable material strategies with conscious, queer symbolism. Using used everyday objects such as embroidery pictures, crocheted doilies, cloths and umbrellas, he creates garments whose traces remain visible and carry a narrative that creates a sense of identity. A boundary between function and meaning is already shifted in the material finding and cutting process: Ordinary objects are given a new appreciation, take on a new form and create new realities.
The symbolism of the snail runs through the collection as a symbol of fluidity - a queer model from nature. Fellner also uses this symbol to locate a safe space and at the same time decelerate the fashion market: A zero-waste cutting technique is created that makes identity performatively visible and shifts the view of heteronormative dress codes. Clothing is not only worn here, but also shown, discussed and negotiated. The sustainability strategy "repurpose" focuses on used materials and thus stands for ecological responsibility and a political message: objects, people and living beings that are considered "disregarded" are given new value.
Fellner's work operates at the intersection of design, body politics and queer aesthetics: a hybrid of art and fashion that makes contemporary criticism visible and opens up space for diversity.
