Urbanogram - Journal of the Built Environment | Issue 4

February 2026

The fourth issue of the magazine "Urbanogram - Journal of the Built Environment" has just been published with the title "Will Spring be far?".

The title is derived from a poem by Percy Shelley called "Ode to the West Wind". It poses the question: "If Winter comes, will Spring be far behind?". Accordingly, this year's edition focuses on a positive outlook for the future, while at the same time looking back to the past serves as a source of inspiration and reflection.

The contributions in this year's edition come from young international architects and academics, including five students/graduates of the University of Arts Linz and BASEhabitat: Ania Chorzepa, Kaarel Kuusk, Paige Michutka, Prarthana Murali, Rikunj Shah.

Urbanogram: Journal of the Built Environment is a project that brings together architectural theorists and architects from around the world by regularly publishing their texts on historical urban spaces in a contemporary context. The central concern of the journal is an international audience of authors and readers. It explores the tension between urbanism and an increasingly globalized world in which cities and urban landscapes reflect cultural diversity in countless facets. Urbanogram therefore aims to bring together academic texts and creative works by authors who are rooted in their cultures and interested in a comprehensive perspective on their respective everyday urban lives. ...
