Interface Cultures lädt zum Gastvortrag von Prof. Dr. Berit Greinke.

In the Wearable Computing group at Berlin University of the Arts, we design and examine wearable technology, with a focus on electronic textiles as material practice and tool for artistic expression. We believe that textile crafts and the technical, social, and cultural knowledge we can draw from them, can inspire new and meaningful narratives for wearing soft technologies.The talk presents an overview of the group’s projects.

Berit Greinke is a professor in Wearable Computing at Berlin University of the Arts and Einstein Center Digital Future (ECDF). Her research focuses on engineering design methods and fabrication techniques for electronic textiles, combining crafts with novel manufacturing technologies.
