The Department of Visual Communication invites you to a guest lecture by Katrin Froschauer & Valentin Backhaus.

Katrin Froschauer and Valentin Backhaus will present FOTOHOF in the Lecture Theater of the Visual Communication department. They will also give us an insight into their work and their design studio Studiofjeld .

Founded in 1981, FOTOHOF is the center for artistic photography in Salzburg. It is a gallery, a library and a publishing house all in one. It has one of the most extensive specialist libraries for photography in Austria, is an internationally active photo book publisher and runs an archive for historical and contemporary photography.

The exhibition room of the FOTOHOF library is dedicated specifically to the subject of photo books and photo book publishing. fotohof.at/shop/publications National and international touring exhibitions are also part of the FOTOHOF's extensive exhibition program.

The continuous process at FOTOHOF is supported by a large number of association members.

"Schnittstelle" is the established lecture series of the Department of Visual Communication at the University of Art and Design Linz. The series brings together artists, designers, curators and authors who create innovative connections between design, photography, art, performance and research in their work. With a focus on interdisciplinary approaches and the intersection of different media and disciplines, the lectures offer exciting insights into creative processes and promote exchange beyond the boundaries of traditional design.
