Mirjam Schrei’s artistic practice reacts to the fleeting nature of the photographic moment. She combines photorealistic and abstract painting techniques, transferring photographs onto large-format panels. For her, this interplay of abstract and concrete elements reflects the atmosphere of her lived moments.
Mirjam Schrei combines photorealism with abstraction and creates richly detailed and atmospheric images. She completed her studies in Graphic Design and Photography at the University of Arts Linz this semester and now devotes herself primarily to painting.
