Once again this year, the International Office of the University of Arts Linz successfully carried out the application process for the Abroad Grant. 16 students will receive funding to undertake a period of study or research abroad as part of the preparation for their final thesis.
The planned stays will take students to destinations including Germany, Greece, Turkey, Senegal, the USA, Brazil, Japan, Korea and Taiwan — as well as many other countries. This demonstrates the international scope and broad global reach of the programme.
The scholarship offers a high degree of flexibility: students can gain international experience independently of partner institutions and adapt their stays to their individual artistic, academic and personal plans. Shorter stays are especially valuable, as they allow students to combine an international experience with their studies, work and personal lives.
We are delighted by the strong interest and the many applications submitted this year, and especially pleased that all applicants in this round could be supported in realising their plans.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the University of Arts Linz for making these valuable international experiences possible for its students.
