After receiving confirmation from your partner university, the International Office will inform you about the next steps via email. Among other things, a digital Learning Agreement must be created. You can find the instructions for this as a download (top right).
If your stay is part of the preparation for your thesis, the confirmation from your supervisor (form available in the download section on the right) must also be submitted to the International Office.
The Learning Agreement refers to the individual study program at the partner university and must be signed by all parties (art university, student, and host university) before departure.
All activities (studies and internships) agreed upon in advance in the Learning Agreement and successfully completed abroad should be assigned ECTS credits and fully recognized. It is essential to clarify with your study administrator whether and how the foreign study program can be credited.
The respective study administrator is responsible for the recognition of courses.
You can study at a partner university as part of the preparation for your Bachelor, Master, or Diploma project, as well as a dissertation.
The preparation of a Diploma or Master thesis must be registered with the study department, including a ‘working title.’ The working title can be changed at any time after your return!
Additionally, you will need a supervisor at the art university who confirms the preparation of your thesis.
The preparation of a Bachelor thesis must be confirmed by the respective study administrator.
As a minimum academic requirement for Erasmus+ funding, 3 ECTS per month of the study stay must be recognized.
This also applies at the art university for the preparation of scientific/artistic theses (Bachelor, Master, Diploma thesis, dissertation).
If the credits/ECTS assigned to the thesis do not cover the entire duration of the stay, additional credits/ECTS must be earned through coursework.
Regardless of this minimum requirement, it is recommended that students complete courses amounting to 30 ECTS credits per semester. This corresponds to the workload of one semester; a semester at the host institution will then replace the entire workload of one semester at the home university.
